Baltimore Starter Named AL's Best Pitcher Saturday, October 1st , 2039 The hottest hurler in the American League last month was Dan Mann of the Baltimore Orioles. He caught the attention of everybody in the league with some eye-catching stats, good enough to win the AL Pitcher of the Month. In September, Mann starred with an impressive 4-0 record. In 6 starts he gave up 18 base hits and struck out 39 in 47.2 innings with a 0.94 ERA. This year Mann has a 13-13 mark in 32 starts with a 3.42 ERA.
