Eddie Mancilla Out for 5 Weeks Wednesday, August 31st , 2039 Injuries are something every team has to deal with. That fact struck home for the Guardians when after today's game against the Diamondbacks, the club found out they would be without the services of Eddie Mancilla for at least 5 weeks. After the game, his manager said of the incident, "You hate to lose anyone to injury. That's always a negative." Mancilla was injured earlier today running the bases and suffered an intercostal strain. Mancilla is batting at a .251 pace this season, picking up 117 hits in 466 at-bats with 37 home runs, 85 RBIs and 78 runs scored. |
