Reds Ken Lough to Miss Year Wednesday, August 24th , 2039 The doctors have spoken and Ken Lough of the Cincinnati Reds didn't like what he heard. The 28-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lough sustained his season-ending injury during the Boston Red Sox game yesterday at Fenway Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Cincinnati medical staff reported Lough had a torn meniscus and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. For the year, Lough has collected no saves in 34 relief appearances. He has also rung up 59 strikeouts and 20 walks in 60.1 innings while registering a 2.54 ERA and a 3-2 won-lost mark. |
