Recovery Slow for Blue Jays Tim Briggs Saturday, July 9th , 2039 Tim Briggs is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for shoulder inflammation. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Blue Jays sent the 32-year-old starting pitcher back to the doctors for reexamination. Briggs told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Briggs will now miss a minimum of 8 months. Tim Briggs is expected to undergo surgery in Toronto(Ontario) tomorrow. His record for the year is 2-3 in 9 starts and Briggs has a 1.99 ERA. |
