Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
Tuesday, May 24th , 2039
If there wasn't a history between Josh O'Donnell of Houston and J.D. Copeland of Toronto, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.

"We're both really competitive," O'Donnell said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."

On the season, O'Donnell is batting .247 with 7 home runs and 15 RBIs. He has played in 47 games.

Up to now Copeland has compiled an ERA of 5.03 with a 2-5 mark over 10 starts. He has 34 strikeouts in 48.1 innings and has held opponents to a .292 batting average.
