Tupper Lake Triumphs in Championship Series Wednesday, September 7th , 2039 The Tupper Lake RiverPigs pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the Championship Series in a hard-fought series with the Georgia Rhinos. It was a seesaw affair, but with a 6-0 victory at Henson Carr Legion Field, Tupper Lake lay claim to the franchise's 5th championship. "There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Tommy Strouse. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today." The champs finished the regular season 43-27 and claimed first place in the North Country Division. A victory parade is set to be scheduled in Tupper Lake in the days to come. View Boxscore |
