The Ciego de Avila Tigres have been purchased by Nick Ruiz from Pedro Gayon after lengthy negotiations. The sale was approved by Serie Nacional de Baseball owners today. New owner Ruiz told the press he was thrilled to be part of the league and would bring an exciting and winning brand of baseball to Ciego de Avila. Ruiz was characterized by financial experts as a hands-on type of guy with controlling pockets and a penchant for being lenient in performance demands. The Ciego de Avila Tigres wound up 13th in the Serie Nacional de Baseball this season with a 39-51 record. |
