Solorzano Rips Leon for 5 Hits Tuesday, July 5th , 2039 Fans at Estadio Francisco Villa got to see not only a home-team victory today, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season. The Durango Generales outplayed the Leon Bravos en route to a 15-4 win, but the standout was left fielder Sherman Solorzano. Solorzano netted 5 hits in 5 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Bravos manager T.J. Brewer said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Sherman Solorzano singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
