Mowen Ups Hit Streak to 25 Consecutive Games Wednesday, June 15th , 2039 Chalk up another one for Quintana Roo Tigres second baseman Zach Mowen. He now has hit in 25 straight games. Mowen went 1-for-5 today's game at Eduardo Vasconcelos Stadium but saw his club defeated 6-4 by the host Oaxaca Guerreros. "Playing on the road always makes it harder to get hits and to get wins," Tigres manager A.J. Murray said after the game. "We got one of the two, but unfortunately it was the wrong one." Zach Mowen singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. This season Mowen is batting .404 with 95 hits, 6 home runs, 39 RBIs, .474 OBP and has scored 41 runs. |
