The Fort Wayne TinCaps and Great Lakes Loons were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Great Lakes Loons beat the Fort Wayne TinCaps by a score of 6-2. Great Lakes second baseman Ruben Morales deserved the lion's share of the credit. Morales went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Loons. Bobby Herro earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 3.2 innings. He upped his record to 6-3.

Mike Wallis had a big at-bat in the bottom of the third inning for the Loons. With his team down, 2-1, the third baseman hit a 2-run single, to put Great Lakes ahead.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Wallis.

Great Lakes has a record of 73-55, placing them second in the Eastern Division.
