Hot Rods Earn 6-5 Win Versus TinCaps
Fort Wayne shortstop Angelo Gallardo had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Gallardo was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, even as Bowling Green beat the TinCaps, 6-5. Jesus Muniz, now 3-3, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. Alex Aguirre recorded his 1st save for Bowling Green.

Bowling Green got the win thanks to a clutch hit from Jon Galayda. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hot Rods ahead, 6-5. Though it was his only hit in 1 at-bat, it had a major impact on the outcome.

"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Galayda. "Those qualities define our team."

With the win over Fort Wayne, the Hot Rods improved to 47-67.
