Ruiz Hits Two Homers in 11-2 Win for Peoria
A 5-RBI performance from Steve Ruiz, who is tied for 7th in the in RBI with 48, helped the Peoria Chiefs beat the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 11-2. Peoria is now 45-49, Fort Wayne 54-40.

With Peoria leading 5-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Ruiz hit a cutter from Mike Coop for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Chiefs ahead, 8-2.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Ruiz told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
