Phillies Win 4-3 Walk-Off
|
The Philadelphia Phillies picked up a win at Citizens Bank Park, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 4-3. Starting pitcher Jamal West played a key role in the triumph. Wing-chiu Ong picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Francisco Crispin was tagged with the loss. Texas is 14-9 after the defeat.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Philadelphia trailing 3-2, Danny Perez hit a fastball from Francisco Crispin to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Phillies had a walk-off win.
West said his team "played with determination."
