Mighty Mussels Snatch Late Win
The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels topped the Daytona Tortugas by a score of 9-6. Leading the way was center fielder Joel Bovier. Bovier went 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Mighty Mussels. The winner was David Ruiz in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Ed Hatcher took the loss. Robbie Orellana closed it out for his 19th save.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Bovier delivered big-time for Fort Myers, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Ed Hatcher. The game-changing hit put the Mighty Mussels on top, 7-5.

"Winning is not something we take for granted," Bovier said.

The Mighty Mussels raised their record to 37-68.
