Rangers Curb Expos, 3-2
|
Texas Rangers starter Jim Brown pitched his team past the Montreal Expos, 3-2. Francisco Crispin earned the save, his 4th, for the Rangers. The loss drops Montreal to 15-3.
Texas took a 3-1 lead on Rodolfo Soto's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Soto hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Montreal pitcher Mike Stevens shaking his head.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Brown. "Successful pitchers do it."
