A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Fredericksburg Nationals and Salem Red Sox.

The Fredericksburg Nationals picked up a win at Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark, dropping the Salem Red Sox, 4-1. Pete Horch was the difference-maker. Ben Fairless earned the save, his 32nd.

Fredericksburg needed the clutch hitting of Dave Ramirez to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Nationals on top, 4-1. For the game, Ramirez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
