2-1 Loss Extends Milwaukee Skid
|
New York picked up a win at Miller Park, toppling the Milwaukee Brewers, 2-1. Pitcher Andrew Dalquist was one of the reasons the Mets triumphed. The winning pitcher was Dalquist, now 2-1. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Jeremy Hull earned save number 3 this season.
Ben Long came through for New York when he hit a run-scoring single in the top of the third. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a two-strike fastball to left-center field, staking his team to a 2-1 lead.
"Winning breeds more winning, I guess," said Dalquist.
New York is now 11-4.
