Dash Beat Red Sox, 5-3
|
The Salem Red Sox and Winston-Salem Dash were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Steve Kaiser was a vital contributor to the 5-3 Winston-Salem victory over Salem. The Dash first baseman went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Phil Willrodt finished the game for Winston-Salem and earned his 10th save.
Winston-Salem catcher Raul Cabrera helped the Dash to the win. In the bottom of the first inning, the 26-year old catcher stroked a 2-run single. For the game, Cabrera went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Cabrera. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
