The Down East Wood Ducks were defeated, 3-2, by the Winston-Salem Dash at BB&T Ballpark, even though Chase Middleton pitched well for Down East. Dan Cyrus earned save number 1 this season.

Brad Yardley, who is tied for 3rd in the in bases on balls with 73, helped out the Winston-Salem cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
