In a well-pitched game between the Wilmington Blue Rocks and the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, pitcher Chris Potts was fantastic. The Wilmington right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-0. Potts, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 2 walks. The third-place Blue Rocks have won 5 in a row.
Bradley Mundy, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with one out in the top of the sixth. That's when he connected on a fastball from Gene Reilly for a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season put Wilmington in front, 1-0.
"I felt good up there," said Mundy. "I saw the ball well."
