Expos Top Orioles, 6-1
|
The Montreal Expos beat the Baltimore Orioles, 6-1. Montreal pitcher and Albuquerque, New Mexico, native Erik Dickman led the way. The Expos, now 9-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Jonathan Barber came through for Montreal when he hit a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the first. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a two-strike cutter to right-center field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Barber.
