Red Sox Losing Streak at 8 After Extra-Inning Loss to Yankees
|
New York rode a fine outing from starter Butch Allen to victory over the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. The final score was 4-1. Boston drops to 2-9.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out, Felix Bocanegra hit a 2-2 sinker from Irving Medina for a run-scoring single. It put New York in front, 2-1.
"We're in a funk right now," said Boston skipper Junior Zamora.
