Arkansas third baseman Alexis Salas had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Salas was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, even as Northwest Arkansas beat the Travelers, 6-4. Randy Rotar earned the save for Northwest Arkansas, his 4th of the year. The Naturals raised their record to 39-97.

Jose Gallardo had a clutch hit in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two men out and a runner on 2nd, the Northwest Arkansas center fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Naturals in the lead, 6-4.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Gallardo.
