The Midland RockHounds racked up a win at Security Bank Ballpark, bumping off the Amarillo Sod Poodles, 6-5, in 11 innings. Bobby Mullen, who started for Midland, pitched effectively for his team. Midland reliever Dave Farr picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Alexis Vazquez was tagged with the loss. The third-place RockHounds sport a record of 54-57.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 11th, 24-year old center fielder Mike Reitano had a chance to be the hero. Amarillo pitcher Alexis Vazquez had other ideas. But with two outs, Reitano drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The RockHounds had themselves a dramatic win.

"This wasn't a good win," said Reitano. "It was a great win."
