Hodgetown was the site for Texas League action featuring the Amarillo Sod Poodles and Midland RockHounds.

The RockHounds grabbed a win, 6-4, at Hodgetown, overcoming a fine effort from Amarillo pitcher Josh Hunter. Hunter went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Ian Billington collected his 12th save.

Midland used the bat of Robbie Galvan to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the RockHounds ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Winning never gets dull," said Galvan.

The 'W' lifts Midland's record to 26-17.
