Late Rally by Pirates Secures 5-3 Win
The Pittsburgh Pirates downed the Chicago Cubs, 5-3. The hitting star was second baseman Maximo Acosta. Acosta went 2-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Pirates. John Pittman collected save number 1. The Pirates raised their record to 4-1.

Pittsburgh used the timely hitting of Heliot Ramos to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pirates on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Ramos. "Just do my job."
