Amarillo right-hander Angelo Castaneda pitched his team to victory over the Arkansas Travelers at Hodgetown. The final score was 5-3. Mike Kearney picked up the save, his 8th. Amarillo goes to 13-19, Arkansas to 17-15.
In the bottom of the third inning of a 2-2 tie, Amarillo designated hitter Willie Gonzalez drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Amarillo on top, 3-2.
"We take it day by day here," said Gonzalez, "and today was a good one for us."
