Diamondbacks Handle Giants, 4-0
|
The Arizona Diamondbacks got a stellar performance from pitcher Anthony Boutte, who handcuffed the San Francisco offense en route to a win, 4-0, at Chase Field. Boutte picked up the win for Arizona, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. With the loss, San Francisco falls to 0-4.
Justin Colon drove in one run for Arizona. The three-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Yu Aoyagi. It was his 1st RBI of the season.
"Nice win for us," said Colon. "Now we'll go after the next one."
