Bowie right-hander Ian Gilliam pitched his team to victory over the Altoona Curve at Prince George's Stadium. The final score was 3-2. Bowie's record now stands at 58-56, placing them 5th in the Western Division.

Bowie third baseman Johnny McIntyre contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a splitter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 25th hit of the season and put the Baysox ahead, 2-0.

McIntyre told the Bowie Herald: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
