The Trenton Thunder had to overcome a big game from Bowie designated hitter Chris Baran to leave Prince George's Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning 5-4. Baran was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Luis Delgado got the win, improving to 6-2. He held the Baysox to 4 runs on 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 4. Trenton is second in the Eastern Division with a record of 67-36.

The Thunder got an important contribution from third baseman Kevin Vickers, who in the top of the fifth hit a fastball into right-center for a run-scoring triple. It was his 4th triple of the season and put the Thunder ahead, 4-3.

"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Vickers. "But it's all business when we're on the field."
