Llado Slugs 2 Home Runs, Senators Beat Flying Squirrels, 4-3
|
The Harrisburg Senators beat the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 4-3, in part because of first baseman Alex Llado. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Adrian Rivera claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 1-0. Jake Turner notched his 14th save of the season.
Llado had a timely hit for Harrisburg in the bottom of the eighth. With Harrisburg trailing 3-1, he turned a 1-2 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 4-3, Harrisburg.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Richmond manager Peyton McGregor said, following the tough loss.
Harrisburg is now 39-33, Richmond 15-57.
