Mets Suffer 4-2 Loss to Knights

The Charlotte Knights and Syracuse Mets played an exciting game.
Jim Fooks made an impact in the 4-2 Charlotte win over Syracuse. Fooks, who is tied for 10th in the in home runs with 19, went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ben Moulton earned the save, his 23rd in 29 tries.
Charlotte took a 3-2 lead on Sean Appleton's 36th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Appleton hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Syracuse pitcher Ben Mazur visibly frustrated.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Appleton told the Charlotte Daily News.
The third-place Knights sport a record of 48-64.
