Evans Propels Buffalo to 3-0 Win
|
The Buffalo Bisons picked up a win at Sahlen Field, taking down the Rochester Red Wings, 3-0. Starting pitcher Chris Evans was a big reason why. Terence Throsby recorded his 4th save for Buffalo. At 46-56, the Bisons find themselves in 5th place in the North Division.
Evans's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 10 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 2 hits. Evans, who is tied for 8th in the in strikeouts with 113, goes to 6-5 on the year with 113 strikeouts.
"We played hard and won," said Evans. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
