Albuquerque catcher Charlie Polomski had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-4, to Salt Lake at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park. Polomski was 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The second-place Bees now have a win-loss record of 50-46.

Dave Donohue tagged a home run off Jim Kruse in the top of the fifth. His 3-run blast put the Bees on top, 3-0. In all, Donohue had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Donohue told the Salt Lake Bulletin.
