The El Paso Chihuahuas topped the Fresno Grizzlies, 8-1, in Pacific Conference action at Chukchansi Park. The standout performance belonged to El Paso pitcher and Mao, Dominican Republic, native Rich Galindo. Galindo, the winner, moves to 7-1. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up no walks. El Paso occupies first place in the Pacific Conference South Division at 42-27.

El Paso used the clutch hitting of Robbie Martin to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Chihuahuas the lead, 3-0. For the game, Martin had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"Rich is tough when he's hitting his spots," said El Paso manager Dan Butler.
