Albuquerque picked up a win at Southwest University park, bumping off the El Paso Chihuahuas, 6-3. Pitcher Mike McKenna was a major reason the Isotopes emerged victorious. McKenna picked up the win for Albuquerque, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 10 hits. He now sports a record of 2-3. Díoguo Berqu earned save number 9 this season.

Albuquerque used a clutch hit from Mike Goodridge to get the win. The first baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Isotopes ahead, 6-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's a mindset," said McKenna. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."

The Isotopes are now 16-25, while the Chihuahuas fall to 29-12.
