The Round Rock Express overcame a good performance by Omaha left fielder Hector Cordoba to knock off Omaha, 6-3, at Dell Diamond. Cordoba was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The Express improved their record to 26-23 with the win over Omaha.

Cliff McElroy, who is tied for 5th in the AC in stolen bases with 9, took Omaha hurler Jeremy Alexa deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Express on top, 4-2. In all, McElroy had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said McElroy. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
