Wind Surge Beat Nashville, 12-11
The Wichita Wind Surge beat the Nashville Sounds, 12-11, in part because of center fielder Kevin Stanek. He went 5 for 7 with a triple, a double, and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Keith Warby earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. The Wind Surge go to 26-23, putting them second in the American Conference South Division.

Wichita used the timely hitting of Caleb Francis to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Wind Surge on top, 12-11. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.

"Crazy game," said Stanek after it ended.
