Wichita Wind Surge starter Pat Scharf was in fine form against the San Antonio Missions at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium, leading his team to a win, 3-2. Wichita has a record of 9-7.

Wichita used a clutch hit from Tony Diaz to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Wind Surge ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.

"We busted our humps out there," said Diaz.
