Sierra Delivers Walk-Off Win for Cubs
|
The Iowa Cubs topped the Nashville Sounds, 1-0, in American Conference action at Principal Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Iowa pitcher Juan Herrera. Iowa reliever Hector Riveiro got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Danny Walker was tagged with the loss. With the win, Iowa lifts its record to 3-1.
Alex Sierra electrified the crowd in the bottom of the tenth when he took Nashville pitcher Danny Walker deep. His solo home run sent the Cubs home winners.
"Good win for us," said Herrera. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
