The Round Rock Express started the 2043 season win an impressive 5-4 win against the Wichita Wind Surge at Dell Diamond. Mike Sands, who is rated as the 66th best prospect by BNN, led the way for Round Rock. The winner was Round Rock reliever Jung-sik Kim, now 1-0. The loser was Keith Warby.
Erik Gurtler was the walk-off hero for Round Rock. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Express left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
