Minnesota Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
New Orleans and Minnesota took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Behind an impressive start by Dave Ramirez, New Orleans beat Minnesota, 3-0. Ramirez got the win, improving to 9-7. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 5 innings. Ramirez allowed no runs. Juan Moreno recorded the save for New Orleans, his 6th of the season.
New Orleans third baseman Jose Lopez produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the eighth with Freddy Reyez on the mound and New Orleans leading 1-0. Lopez hit a 2-run single.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Minnesota manager Taylor Hyssong.
The win makes New Orleans 97-64.
