The Pittsburgh Pirates knocked off the Cincinnati Reds, 3-2, at PNC Park. Josh Smalls was a big reason Pittsburgh won. The first baseman went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. With the win, the Pirates have a record of 109-51.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Smalls hit a changeup from Mike Popp for a run-scoring double. The Pirates, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Pittsburgh manager Matt Kata.
