Big Day for Hebert in 8-3 Nationals Win
|
The Washington Nationals downed the Atlanta Braves, 8-3, at Truist Park. The Nationals were led by Jeff Hebert. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Washington starter Cris Perez was credited with the win after throwing 88 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 7-10. At 61-96, the Nationals are currently last in the National League East Division.
Washington took a 3-0 lead on Hebert's 26th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Luis Duran in the top of the sixth, propelled Washington to the win.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Hebert told the Washington News.
