Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Guardians
The Seattle Mariners got a sterling performance from pitcher Joe Berg, but the Cleveland Guardians still prevailed, 5-1. Berg threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. Their 69-85 record puts the Guardians 4th in the American League Central Division.

Cleveland used the clutch hitting of Randy McAuliffe to snag the win. The designated hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Guardians ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Good win for us," said McAuliffe. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
