Cincinnati first baseman Yu-zhang Ku was a significant contributor in his team's 6-5 triumph over the Boston Red Sox. He was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 4 RBI for Cincinnati. Devon Hensley, credited with the win, is now 3-3. He allowed no runs on no hits. At 72-78, the Reds are currently last in the National League Central Division.
Coming to the plate with two out in the bottom of the 12th inning, Cincinnati left fielder Jose Sanchez had a chance to be the hero. Facing Boston pitcher Chris Ford with a runner on 1st, Sanchez, who is tied for 7th in the NL with a .526 slugging percentage, hit a run-scoring double.
"The most important thing is that we won," Sanchez said.
