Schmitz Silences New Orleans Bats
The Cleveland Guardians picked up a win at Progressive Field, knocking off the New Orleans Voodoo, 5-0. On the mound for Cleveland was right-hander Josh Schmitz, who played a pivotal role in the win. Cleveland is 63-81 and New Orleans, with the loss, 87-58.

Schmitz was in the zone all game. He frustrated New Orleans hitters while giving the Guardians 6.1 innings of quality work. Schmitz threw 82 pitches, allowing 1 hit and getting 5 punchouts.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Schmitz told the Cleveland Today.
