Petite Lifts Expos to 7-2 Win
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Nate Petite, the Montreal Expos defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 7-2. Petite was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Expos. Erik Dickman, the winning pitcher, improved to 14-4. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 9 and walking 0. The Expos, at 81-60, sit in second place in the American League East Division.
