3-0 Triumph Takes Pittsburgh to 88-44
|
John Pittman never let the Phillies get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Pirates to a win, 3-0. Jayden Jackson earned the save for Pittsburgh, his 7th of the year. With the win, the Pirates have a record of 88-44.
Ricky Arreola was a prime factor in the win for the Pirates. In the top of the fifth with one out, the fan favorite hit a 2-run single. He was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"I expect to carry this team on my shoulders at times," said Arreola.
