Great Stroke: Sibrian Gets 5 Hits
|
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Sioux Falls's 4-3 win over Gary SouthShore today, second baseman Luis Sibrian was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at U.S. Steel Yard.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Sibrian said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Luis Sibrian singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Dan Packard in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
In his season totals, Sibrian has 24 home runs, .303 BA, .422 OBP, 74 RBIs and 64 runs scored. He has played in 89 games.
